Volleyball Game Preview: Palos Verdes Sea Kings vs. Torrance Tartars

The Palos Verdes Sea Kings will head out to challenge the Torrance Tartars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palos Verdes will be strutting in after a win while Torrance will be coming in after a defeat.

Palos Verdes is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since March 14th on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past Paraclete 1-0.

Meanwhile, Torrance came up short against North on Friday and fell 3-1. The Tartars have struggled against the Saxons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: North scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Torrance's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Palos Verdes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8-2 record this season.

Palos Verdes skirted past Torrance 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palos Verdes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
