Soccer Game Preview: Keller Central vs. V.R. Eaton

The Keller Central Chargers will square off against the V.R. Eaton Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keller Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Keller Central managed to keep up with Keller until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Chargers lost 4-1 to the Indians. While losing is never fun, Keller Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Keller are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, V.R. Eaton came into Friday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their defense stepped up to hand Bell a 1-0 shutout on Friday. V.R. Eaton's winning goal came courtesy of Ayaan Ngando.

Keller Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for V.R. Eaton, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
