Softball Preview: Monarch Coyotes vs. Longmont Trojans
The Monarch Coyotes will square off against the Longmont Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.

Skylar Becker was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base. Another player making a difference was Alex McGregor, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
The victory got Monarch back to even at 4-4. As for Longmont, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Longmont's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Monarch has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game.
