Baseball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss

The Willow Spring Storm didn't have quite enough to beat the Rolesville Rams on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Willow Spring saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gio Tafalla, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Rolesville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willow Spring will host Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Rolesville, they will welcome Knightdale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
