Soccer Game Preview: Prout vs. Block Island

The Prout Crusaders will square off against Block Island at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Prout is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Johnston, who was ranked 21st at the time (Prout was ranked 16th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Saturday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Prout have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Meanwhile, Block Island fell victim to Burrillville and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Broncos.

Block Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. Prout's draw makes their record 5-2-3 this season.

Everything went Prout's way against Block Island in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Prout made off with a 4-1 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do Block Island have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
