Basketball Game Preview: South Laurel Cardinals vs. Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers

The South Laurel Cardinals and the Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Laurel comes in on three and Breckinridge County on eight.

Last Friday, South Laurel didn't have too much trouble with Raceland as they won 47-30.

Meanwhile, Breckinridge County was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Glasgow 53-20. The Fighting Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

South Laurel better focus on containing Elizabeth Grimes and Kayleigh Huffines as the pair were huge in Breckinridge County's win. Grimes went 8 of 10 on her way to 25 points, while Huffines dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The contest was Grimes' seventh in a row with at least ten points.

South Laurel's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Breckinridge County, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
