Volleyball Recap: Huron Tigers vs. Washington Warriors

After flying high against Brookings on Thursday, Huron came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Washington Warriors on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Huron was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 25-22.

Washington can attribute much of their success to Emily Akkerman, who had 21 assists and nine digs. Aubrielle Perry also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
