Pope had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Johns Creek Gladiators by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Greyhounds as they're now sitting on six straight.

Pope walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 19-25, 25-15, 28-19.

Pope was led to victory by Wynnie Abney and Grayson O'Daniel. Abney had 16 digs and four aces, while O'Daniel had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces O'Daniel has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Johns Creek had strong showings from Evelyn Sinotte, who had 12 digs, and Hana Catic, who had 18 kills and 13 digs. Catic is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Pope's victory bumped their record up to 31-8. As for Johns Creek, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-10.

Looking ahead, Pope will square off against Woodward Academy on Saturday. Johns Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
