Preview: Tift County Blue Devils vs. Westover Patriots

The Tift County Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Westover Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Tift County: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Westover has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Tift County's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston County.

Meanwhile, Westover scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Shaw with points to spare, taking the game 69-55. With that victory, Westover brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Westover's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylon Ball led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ball has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Milton, who scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Tift County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Westover, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Tift County came up short against Westover in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 56-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Westover's Traveion Wheeler, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
