Mt. Zion won the last time they faced Mahomet-Seymour and things went their way on Saturday too. The Braves blew past the Bulldogs 15-1. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

Ella Fink made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fink was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Mt. Zion let Chloe Williams and Ellie Green run wild. Williams went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Green went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most runs Williams has posted since back in April. Savannah Beiler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Mt. Zion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mahomet-Seymour only posted a batting average of .158.

The win made it two in a row for Mt. Zion and bumps their season record up to 20-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.
