Soccer Recap: Marco Island Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marco Island Academy can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Thunder are ranked 150th).

Marco Island Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Marco Island Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Keswick Christian at 7:00 p.m. Out-of-Door Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.
