Volleyball Recap: Gertz-Ressler Falls Despite Big Games from Emilio Garcia and Fernando Ramirez

Gertz-Ressler lost against New Designs University Park back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gertz-Ressler came up short against New Designs University Park, falling 3-0. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gertz-Ressler was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22, 25-10.

Gertz-Ressler's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Fernando Ramirez, who had 23 digs, and Emilio Garcia, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave Ramirez a new career-high.

Gertz-Ressler's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Designs University Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
