Apex Friendship is a perfect 10-0 against Cary since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Apex Friendship will challenge Cary at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Apex Friendship's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.

Apex Friendship barely beat Panther Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Apex Friendship blew past Panther Creek 14-4 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Catamounts: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on India Matute, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Makenzie Spero was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Cary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Holly Springs, falling 18-2.

Cary saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Catherine Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Baker hit this season.

Apex Friendship's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Cary, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Apex Friendship took their win against Cary in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. Does Apex Friendship have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cary turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
