Recap: Bishop Feehan Shamrocks vs. Bishop Fenwick Crusaders
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The Bishop Feehan Shamrocks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-26 victory over Bishop Fenwick. The victory was nothing new for Bishop Feehan as they're now sitting on six straight.
Bishop Feehan can attribute much of their success to David Quinn, who rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Quinn is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Austin Clemente did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals and two extra points.
Bishop Feehan's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Bishop Fenwick, their loss ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
Coincidentally, Bishop Feehan and Bishop Fenwick will both be playing Bishop Stang the next time they take the field. Bishop Fenwick will head out to face Bishop Stang at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th, while Bishop Feehan will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on November 22nd.
