Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Christian Takes a Loss

Birchwood Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 18 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-17. They lost 3-0 to the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in October.

As for Cook Inlet Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-15 record this season. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Isabella Porsi was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Birchwood Christian will face off against Holy Rosary Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cook Inlet Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
