Softball Recap: Valley View Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Valley View came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Nettleton Raiders a 15-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Blazers have won by exactly 15 runs.

Mackenzie Whitlock was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlee Allison, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Valley View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive contests.

Valley View's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Nettleton, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley View beat the Raiders by a score of 15-0 later that day.
