Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest Crusaders.

VictoriaIsabelle Diaz-Mitchell paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Diaz-Mitchell got some help from Isabella Talde and her five assists.

Leading First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest to victory were Bryson McGrath and Kaya Thompson. McGrath had ten digs and two aces, while Thompson had 21 assists. Those two aces gave McGrath a new career-high.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Ridge View on the 9th. As for First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fountain Inn on the 6th.
