Softball Recap: Warsaw Takes a Loss

Warsaw couldn't beat Wawasee on Wednesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Tigers came up short against the Warriors, falling 16-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Warsaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Carman, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Warsaw's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Wawasee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warsaw will welcome Goshen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the RedHawks at the right time seeing as the RedHawks are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wawasee, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mishawaka at 5:30 p.m.
