Volleyball Recap: La Puente Gets the Win

La Puente took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Workman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Lobos 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Lobos back in March, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

La Puente took Workman into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 15-12.

La Puente's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Workman, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Puente will take on Ganesha at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Giants will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Workman, they will square off against Bassett at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
