Softball Recap: Upper Moreland Bears vs. Cheltenham Panthers
Upper Moreland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cheltenham Panthers with a sharp 16-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Upper Moreland also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.
For Cheltenham's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Niya McKenzie, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Cheltenham hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Moreland will take on New Hope-Solebury at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cheltenham, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Springfield Township at 3:45 p.m.
