Baseball Recap: Myrtle Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Myrtle can now relate to. They fell just short of the West Union Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-4 defeat on Monday.

Myrtle's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-10. As for West Union, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Myrtle nor West Union have any future games scheduled.
