Recap: Hancock Panthers vs. Salisbury Elk Lick Elks
The Hancock Panthers lost against the Salisbury Elk Lick Elks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hancock might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Salisbury Elk Lick an easy 66-46 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hancock has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Hancock lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden McCarty. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jordyn King, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Hancock and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Salisbury Elk Lick, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Hancock and Turkeyfoot Valley Area will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Turkeyfoot Valley Area has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last three games. Salisbury Elk Lick will finish 2023 at home by hosting Paw Paw on Friday.
