It was a good run, but Rabun Gap-Nacoochee unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Charlotte Latin Hawks. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Rabun Gap-Nacoochee ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 25-17.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cassidy Klimasewski, who had 27 digs. Klimasewski is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Charlotte Latin, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Providence Day on the 6th. As for Charlotte Latin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against St. Mary's on the 6th.
