Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Diego Cardinals vs. Thacher Toads

The Bishop Diego Cardinals will head out to face off against the Thacher Toads at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Diego knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Thacher likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Bishop Diego earned a 72-60 victory over Santa Clara.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Thacher's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 54-40 to Channel Islands.

Thacher's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Bishop Diego, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.

Bishop Diego was able to grind out a solid victory over Thacher when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 56-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Diego since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
