Basketball Recap: La Monte Comes Up Short

La Monte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 53-26 defeat at the hands of Northland Christian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 37-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

La Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Northland Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

La Monte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-35 victory against Smithton on the 24th. As for Northland Christian, they will take on Plattsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
