Fullerton came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-47 victory over the Central Valley Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Cougars back in December of 2024, they had to take a 45-43 loss.

Central Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zevan Wolf, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. Wolf is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Taesian Soto, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Central Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fullerton has already played their next game (against Elba), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Valley has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Elgin/Pope John.
