Sumner is 8-2 against Franklinton since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cowboys will square off against the Demons at 5:30 p.m. Sumner will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Sumner made easy work of St. Thomas Aquinas and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won 23 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Franklinton's offense. They lost 16-0 to Northlake Christian on Tuesday. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sumner's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Franklinton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Sumner took their win against Franklinton when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
