Ferris is 8-2 against Gonzaga Prep since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Saxons will challenge the Bullpups at 4:00 p.m. Ferris is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Ferris will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Cheney, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. The Saxons walked away with an 11-8 win over the Blackhawks on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Saxons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Frankie Schone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cadence Hyndman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Neveah Snellman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to Mt. Spokane. The shutout was out of character for the Bullpups seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Ferris' win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Gonzaga Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Gonzaga Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ferris hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. It's a different story for Gonzaga Prep, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Ferris' hitters?

Everything went Ferris' way against Gonzaga Prep in their previous matchup on April 2nd, as Ferris made off with an 18-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saxons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
