Volleyball Game Preview: Reed-Custer Comets vs. Manteno Panthers

Reed-Custer hasn't had much luck against Manteno recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Comets will square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Reed-Custer came up short against Streator and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Manteno came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

Manteno easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Reed-Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Reed-Custer couldn't quite get it done against Manteno in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
