The Halifax County Comets will head out to square off against the Amherst County Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Halifax County will be strutting in after a win while Amherst County will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Halifax County earned a 4-2 victory over Staunton River. The win continues a trend for Halifax County in their matchups with Staunton River: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Amherst County's offense. They lost 3-0 to Liberty Christian on Friday.

Halifax County's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Amherst County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Halifax County beat Amherst County 2-0 in their previous matchup on Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
