Volleyball Recap: Knob Noster Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Knob Noster faced off against Crest Ridge on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Knob Noster ultimately came up short, they really made Crest Ridge work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25.

Gabriella Quinones paced Knob Noster's offense, picking up nine kills. Quinones got some help from Tinlee Jones and her 13 assists. Madison Betz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Knob Noster's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-2. As for Crest Ridge, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Knob Noster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lexington on the 27th. As for Crest Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 27th.
