Van Buren took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Southside, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pointers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mavericks on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Pointers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Van Buren's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Southside, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Buren will square off against Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southside, they will challenge Northside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
