Basketball Recap: Hillman Skates Past Hale with Ease

Hillman barely beat Hale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers claimed a resounding 70-36 victory over the Eagles. With the Tigers ahead 44-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Hillman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eddie Prue led the charge by shooting 42% from the field to rack up 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Prue is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Ty Muszynski was another key player, going 7-for-17 en route to 17 points and five steals.

The win (which was Hillman's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.3 points this season. As for Hale, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
