Volleyball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch lost against Hononegah back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sequoits took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-17.

Hononegah can attribute much of their success to Kaelyn Kelly, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Kelly has posted since back in September.

Antioch has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Hononegah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Antioch will be playing in front of their home fans against Grayslake North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hononegah, they will head out on the road to challenge Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
