Softball Recap: Carson Comes Up Short

If Carson was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Louisville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts came up short against the Centennial Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 10-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Colts, who until this game were averaging 3.92 runs allowed.

Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleighna Matos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Centennial, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Coming up, Carson will be playing at home against San Pedro at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will face off against Green Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
