Basketball Preview: Madison Comprehensive Rams vs. Ashland Arrows
Madison Comprehensive is 2-8 against the Arrows since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Madison Comprehensive Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Ashland Arrows at 7:15 p.m. Madison Comprehensive has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Madison Comprehensive, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-50 loss to the Blue Streaks. Madison Comprehensive has struggled against the Blue Streaks recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Even though Ashland has not done well against the Generals recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ashland managed a 50-46 win over the Generals. The victory was just what Ashland needed coming off of a 74-50 loss in their prior match.
Madison Comprehensive dropped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Ashland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.
Madison Comprehensive came up short against the Arrows in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 44-33. Can Madison Comprehensive avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
