Football Game Preview: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. Middlesex Bluejays

Bound Brook hasn't had much luck against Middlesex recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crusaders will take on the Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Bound Brook came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Spotswood, falling 36-7. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Middlesex had to suffer through a 46-7 loss at the hands of New Providence. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Pioneers are ranked 110th).

Middlesex's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bound Brook, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Bound Brook took a serious blow against Middlesex when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 41-10. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
