Softball Recap: Welsh Comes Up Short

In Friday's Canine Competition, Welsh had to take the L. They lost 12-1 to the Iota Bulldogs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Welsh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Trahan, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Welsh's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Iota, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Welsh will square off against Basile at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Iota, they will take on Rosepine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
