Volleyball Recap: Brophy College Prep Takes Down Ranked Sunnyslope

Brophy College Prep faced Sunnyslope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncos blew past the Vikings 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Brophy College Prep was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-21.

Colin Zimmerman paced Brophy College Prep's offense, picking up nine kills. Zimmerman really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 26. Jude Keane controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Sunnyslope saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nathan Brown had 15 digs. Brown has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times he's played.
