Basketball Game Preview: Hersey Huskies vs. Rolling Meadows Mustangs

Hersey has won five straight games at home, while Rolling Meadows has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Hersey Huskies will welcome the Rolling Meadows Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

Hersey lost 70-46 to Hinsdale Central on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Downers Grove North 39-37. The 39-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Rolling Meadows has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Hersey, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.

Hersey suffered a grim 73-52 defeat to Rolling Meadows in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Hersey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
