Basketball Recap: 13 Straight Road Victories for Keystone

Keystone put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Northwestern Huskies to the tune of 60-15. With the Wildcats ahead 43-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Leading Keystone to victory were Madyson Sokolowski and Vivian Cassell. Sokolowski went 8 of 19 en route to 22 points along with eight steals and five boards, while Cassell almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sokolowski has scored at least a third of Keystone's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Gaines, who posted 12 points.

Keystone pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Northwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone will take on Clearview in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwestern and Waynedale will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
