Recap: J.L. Mann Patriots vs. Hillcrest Rams
The J.L. Mann Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Hillcrest on the road to the tune of 78-31. J.L. Mann has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Caitlin Bowling had an outrageously good game as she scored 12 points along with eight steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia McKinney, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Despite the loss, Hillcrest still got an impressive performance from Ashlyn Scott, who scored 16 points. That was a full 51.6% of Hillcrest's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
J.L. Mann's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Hillcrest, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Coincidentally, J.L. Mann and Hillcrest will both be playing Woodmont the next time they take the court. J.L. Mann will host Woodmont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hillcrest will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
