Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 19-16 to the Crosby-Ironton Rangers. Even if the Hilltoppers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Crosby-Ironton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Coming up, Marshall will square off against Superior at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crosby-Ironton, they will challenge Pine City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
