Football Game Preview: Dyett Eagles vs. Carver Challengers + Official Tickets

The Dyett Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Carver Challengers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dyett will be strutting in after a victory while Carver will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Dyett duked it out with Hyde Park on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Thunderbirds by a score of 20-8. That looming 20-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

The critical scores for Dyett came from Zimbalist Griffin, Dareon Young, Donyae Jackson, and Jesus Mitchell-Hightower.

Dyett's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. James Taylor was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Dyett is undefeated when Taylor posts one or more sacks, but 0-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Carver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Goode STEM Academy and fell 36-0.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Dyett, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything went Dyett's way against Carver when the teams last played back in September of 2023, as Dyett made off with a 30-6 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Challengers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
