Grandview was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Eaglecrest on Tuesday. The Wolves blew past the Raptors 12-2. Considering the Wolves have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nick Martensen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Chase Chapman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Maroni, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Grandview's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Eaglecrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Grandview will have a chance to go back-to-back against Eaglecrest: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
