Basketball Recap: Bell City Takes a Loss

Bell City lost against Lacassine two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bell City Bruins took a blow against the Lacassine Cardinals, falling 79-30. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 27th).

Bell City has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-24-1 record this season. As for Lacassine, the win (which was their 25th in a row) raised their record to 31-2.

Bell City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-32 victory against Hathaway on the 14th. Lacassine has also already played their next contest (against Episcopal of Acadiana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
