Football Recap: Commerce Triumphs

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Commerce walked away with a 19-6 win over Blue Ridge. This was payback for Commerce, who suffered a 33-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Aidan Brown looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 67 yards and one score on only nine carries, while also throwing for 109 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

The victory got Commerce back to even at 1-1. As for Blue Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will host Farmersville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Ridge, they will square off against Bonham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
