Basketball Recap: Valley Lutheran Takes a Loss

If Valley Lutheran was riding high fresh off their 45-11 takedown of Carrollton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valley Lutheran Chargers were outmatched by the Genesee Christian Soldiers and fell 72-29. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Soldiers are ranked 97th).

Valley Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Genesee Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

Valley Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-29 loss against New Lothrop on the 27th. As for Genesee Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 47-30 victory against Linden on the 27th.
