Fleming had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Northside Vikings a 26-0 shutout. Considering the Colonels have won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Daedae Faulkner had a dynamite game, rushing for 91 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Faulkner was just one part of a punishing run game: Fleming was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 239 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Fleming's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fleming will head out to square off against Lord Botetourt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside, they will venture away from home to take on Staunton River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Golden Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.13 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
