Basketball Recap: Kirby Prep Comes Up Short

Kirby Prep lost against St. Francis back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kirby Prep Griffins were beaten by the St. Francis Sharks 72-34.

Despite the loss, Kirby Prep still got an impressive performance from Rain Li, who posted 14 points. Alon Teragawa was another key player, putting up seven points.

Kirby Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Francis, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Kirby Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-45 loss against Sterne on the 14th. As for St. Francis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Monterey County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in St. Francis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
